Apologies as I haven’t updated our campaign for some time. Instead of posting lots and lots of sessions I have, instead, posted a recap below of numerous sessions to get us up to date….
A Dr Highsmith finally met the party, and disclosed he was treating a patient at St Agnes asylum in Herefordshire. This patient was known as Alexander Roby and had been interred in the Asylum for nearly 2 years. Roby had been implicated in the horrific deaths of his father and sister, although had never been charged for these crimes. Roby’s father had been found exsanguinated and reports of a high pitched whistle had preceded his death.
The party decided to accept the invitation of Dr Highsmith and examine his patient. They were told that Roby was due a release hearing in a month’s time and that his brother Graeme and family doctor Trollope were strongly against his release whilst he, Highsmith, felt Roby to be no threat to society.
The party decided to visit both Graeme Roby and Dr Trollope. The former was very hostile and would have no truck with ‘strangers’ and the latter was forthcoming yet seemed to be hiding something.
Unable to make much sense of the pilfered King in Yellow book and another tome Der Wanderer durch den See Alexis Royale hired a german translator to work upon the tomes – an unfortunately monickered Herr Kuntz.
Worryingly some digging around about St Agnes asylum revealed that there had been a gruesome murder of an orderly about a year ago in which nobody was ever charged. Investigations into Alexander Roby yielded information about his heavy involvement in the occult and particularly with persons known as Bacon, Quarrie, Edwards and Coombs.
As the cold weather blew November snow unseasonably across the country the party made their way to the asylum to gain an audience with Alexander Roby. There, amongst the grimness of shouting lunatics, screams and groans, they set about questioning Roby – to no avail. He spoke in riddles, talked of dreams and asked for Delia. Delia who ?
Around Roby, it seems, spin some worrying satellites – texts that send people mad, unexplained and horrific deaths, talk of Alien Gods and cities, unnatural creatures summoned in Oxford.
